Sunningdale & District Gardening Association

@ Sunningdale Village Hall. 1st Thursday of each month 19.30 - 22.00

SADGA meet on the first Thursday of the month (Feb to Nov) for an illustrated talk or demonstration. Twice a year, in May and September, they start at 6.50 pm for a Plant Sale or Bring and Buy Sale before the meeting - this is held in the car park behind the Village Hall.

A monthly competition of ten classes is held in which people gain prize cards on the evening for flowers, fruit and veg, cacti, potted plants and flower arrangements. Points are accumulated throughout the calendar year and trophies presented at the AGM in March to the class winners.

SADGA also work closely with the Ascot Horticultural Society which runs 4 shows a year; arrange an annual outing each year(2009 Kew Gardens, 2010 Borde Hill House); provide members with a wealth of information about open gardens and other events; and round off the year with a Christmas Dinner (usually Chobham Golf Club).

People interested in joining this friendly group are always welcome (knowledge of Latin plant names is not a requirement!)

Members and non-members welcomed. Annual membership £10 plus meeting fee £1 (visitor's fee £3 per evening)
