Sunningdale is home to a wide range of community activities - social, leisure and recreational.
Sunningdale Village Venues co-ordinates many of these activities using a range of local venues - currently activities take place at Holy Trinity Church and Sunningdale Village Hall at either end of Church Road, Sunningdale, Berkshire, SL5 0NJ, as well as at Holy Trinity School on Station Road and The Hope Centre on Sunningdale High Street. Please click here to see a map of these locations.
Holy Trinity Church is now home to Rendezvous, the Cafe in Church - a community meeting place, where friends can congregate over coffee and enjoy the delicious home baked cakes and cookies - it is open during term time Monday to Friday from 9.15 am to 2 pm. Free regular coffee and tea is offered to all our visitors, please follow this link to find out more about Rendezvous and our menu details. As well as being home to the cafe, Holy Trinity Church also hosts a number of activities for children.
Sunningdale Village Hall is used during the day for many classes and activities. It has a large main hall with raised wooden stage area idea for theatrical performances or musical events and a sprung wooden floor which is also marked out for badminton. A serving hatch direct from the kitchen makes it an ideal venue for many functions where eating and dancing can be combined.
The Village Hall also has a smaller hall at the rear of the building which is the home (during the day in term time) to Sunningdale Pre-School, this room, which also has its own kitchen, can be hired for events at evenings and weekends, it has an outside covered classroom area (completed in 2011) and a garden.
Until March 31st 2012, Sunningdale Village Venues operated out of the Coronation Memorial Institute or The CMI in Church Road - all the activities that took place at this busy venue have now been relocated to the other venues mentioned above.
